One of the most common questions I receive is:
“How do I know if it’s anxiety… or if my intuition is warning me?”
Here’s the difference:
Anxiety is loud.
It rushes. It demands answers now.
It comes from fear of loss, abandonment, or uncertainty.
Intuition is quiet.
It speaks slowly. It doesn’t panic.
It doesn’t pressure you — it simply knows.
To tell the difference, ask your body:
- Anxiety feels like: tight chest, urgency, spiraling thoughts.
- Intuition feels like: grounded clarity, even if the message is difficult.
You don’t need to “get rid of” anxiety to hear your intuition.
You just need to regulate your nervous system first.
Breathe.
Place a hand on your heart.
Feel your feet.
Come back into your body.
Only then ask:
What is actually true for me here?
Your body always knows.
It has always known.
We just haven’t been taught to listen.
